Jesus reached out and saved Peter. And He will do the same for you! He is a faithful shepherd. No one that trusts in Him shall perish!
How insulting to think that Jesus can not or will not save you! That is a slap in the face of God. Jesus died a horrible painful and humiliating death so that you might live, shall He then abandon you in time of need? Who would do that? Is He blind? Does He not see? Does He not care? Preposterous!
Satan wants to convince us that we are above God, that somehow His love can not extend to us, that His protection is not great enough, that we will fail by following Jesus. That is just a lie. There is nothing we can do that is greater than God’s love! Just who do we think we are to think we can do more bad than He can do good?
No, don’t listen to such nonsense! Jesus is watchful and faithful. He will never leave us nor forsake us. He knows us inside and out, and died for us anyway. He will not let one hair on our head be damaged unnecessarily. Not one.
Does that mean a fun filled, pleasurable, prosperous life of luxury? No. He promised life full of hardship, work, rejection, attack, sacrifice, but Peace. He promised that we will thread upon serpents and scorpions without being hurt. He promised to be there every step of our journey to guide us, empower us, protect us, forgive us. He promised peace in the storm, not lack of a storm.
So go ahead and step out where God leads you. Step out in the faith that even when you fail, like Peter, Jesus will save you. Trust in Him and His abounding love. Trust that even if you lose all, even if you sink in the storm, He will save you.
Jesus is watching you right now. What have you to fear?
